Mute on Lock
A small Windows tray utility that muted system audio when a workstation was locked.

What it was
Mute on Lock reacted to Windows workstation lock and restored audio after unlock. It was widely mentioned in Windows tips publications, but compatibility advice from the period was tied to Windows XP, Vista, and 7.
